Based on the author's years of experience coaching weight loss and fitness training, I've found that the key to successful fitness lies in this one crucial moment. While doing the exercises listed in this chapter, you might find it too dull and lacking in stimulation. However, we can look at this from another perspective: everyone is driven by both pain and pleasure, and the author's task is to present these two experiences to you, allowing you to choose between them. The pain will arise at the moment of failure; the pleasure will arise when you successfully surpass others and reach the finish line. In that moment, you can enjoy everything you desire. Once you've genuinely invested in achieving this pleasure, you'll not only feel incredibly excited but also gain immense motivation, inspiring you to persevere and continue training.
In real life, people are constantly driven by their emotions, and these emotions play a unique role in our health. Today is the first day of our exercise program. Throughout the day, we will use the control of our emotions to achieve the goal of controlling our physical health.
Day 1 Fitness Plan
On the first day of this 7-day goal-setting/action implementation plan, I hope you can focus all your attention on emotional well-being. During the first day's activities, all you need to do is learn to experience emotions normally. That is, focus your attention, clear away all your negative emotions, and strive to strengthen your positive emotional feelings.
To eliminate all negative emotions and enhance your positive feelings, you should repeatedly repeat the following phrases to help strengthen your positive emotions:
"I am very happy that my current weight is only ____ kilograms (____ pounds). At present, I only eat healthy food and drink only fresh water. People are talking about me, saying that I look very healthy, and I also feel particularly energetic."
The key to restoring normal emotions is to trigger a hormonal response in your body. When you repeatedly state these words, you must excite yourself. Whenever a person feels depressed, their hormonal system, adrenal system, and other related systems work together to maintain a depressed and negative state. Conversely, when a person is enthusiastic about life, their hormones, adrenal system, and other related systems also work together to maintain a high level of enthusiasm. This is the fundamental reason why emotions play a crucial role in enhancing metabolism.
To successfully activate our metabolic system, we must rely heavily on our emotions. You can take many positive steps to transform your emotions into a valuable asset that enhances your health, especially your metabolism. The best secret weapon for controlling your emotions is to utilize laser visualization technology. The clearer the image of "that person" you describe becomes in your mind, the more likely your emotions will become more aroused.
Whenever you recite those words, you should pay special attention to imagining yourself as incredibly happy, having reached your weight loss goal, and looking beautiful in the clothes that best showcase your figure. Furthermore, while reciting those words, you should be absolutely certain that you can actually see others praising your good looks and congratulating you on your new body image. Then, you must truly experience that wonderful feeling.
Here, there is another extremely important point:
Whether it's daytime or nighttime, your heart should be filled with each of these positive emotions.
For humankind, nature provides each of us equally. In our daily lives, everyone has the same resources to cope with everything in the world. We each have the same amount of time each day; the difficulties we face each day are also roughly the same in degree. Furthermore, we each possess the same intellectual abilities that can help us overcome all obstacles and make the best use of all our time.
In this world, what truly empowers a person is their ability to control their own emotions. No one but yourself can control your emotions. How would you react if someone blocked your way on the road? You should strive to control your negative emotions because they trigger a chain reaction in your body, ultimately significantly impacting your metabolism. If you angrily curse the person blocking your way or become emotionally agitated, your body will internalize these negative emotions and reflect them. Conversely, if you simply make a quick assessment in your car, observe your surroundings more carefully, and try to control your anger, your body's metabolism, hormones, adrenaline, and other systems will function at their peak.
Therefore, we can conclude that to optimize an individual's metabolism, they must control their emotions. Increased metabolism is a direct result of effective emotional control.
I assure you, the healthiest people in the world have realized this. Whether they came to this understanding through active reflection or it was already ingrained in their subconscious, they live in a very harmonious and coordinated way. They are also adept at controlling their emotions when reacting to external circumstances, never allowing anyone or anything to dictate their emotional responses to specific events in life on any given day. You might recall that in the chapter on emotions, we mentioned a relatively simple method involving three factors to control one's emotions. This simple three-factor method is actually a training program that encompasses three factors: physical health, effective time management, and self-imagination development.
Please remember this: when a person's behavior is positive, it's very difficult for them to maintain negative emotions. In fact, I believe one of the biggest discoveries today is that when a person's attention is entirely focused on thinking about something positive, they cannot simultaneously think about anything negative. In other words, positive and negative thoughts cannot coexist in the human brain.
Now it's time for you to make your own choices. In every minute of every day, it's entirely up to you to decide what kind of things you want to focus your attention on.
Day 1 Practice Tasks
1. Write down your entire day's emotional practice in a journal. In this journal, you must record all the emotions you experienced throughout the day. After recording all the emotions you experienced, you should also recall the duration and frequency of each emotion.
2. Answer the following questions in your diary:
●What is your most perfect body image?
● What is your ideal body image compared to the best you've ever had (in your entire life)?
3. Write in your diary what things you must give up in order to achieve your weight loss and fitness goals.
4. In what year and month do you plan to achieve your weight loss and fitness goals to obtain your ideal body image?
5. To achieve the body physique you desire, prepare to write a detailed physical exercise action plan. While writing this plan, you should also be very certain that it is not only unique but also has the potential to succeed.
6. Dedicate a paragraph in your journal to answering some of the questions posed above. When answering these questions, you should be absolutely certain that your answers are positive and expressed in the present tense. You should also try to excite yourself while answering these questions. Remember, as long as you follow the author's methods, you will successfully achieve your desired goal.
7. Read your diary aloud 10 times or more, with excitement and passion, and with a very engaged and fascinated attitude.
Your thoughts are the key to unlocking all your emotions, and also the key to your success. Always keeping your mind positive is crucial for achieving any worthwhile goal in life.
